When choosing a wedding videographer choose someone who you feel comfortable with, that is true for any vendor for your wedding. Its your day so- make every part perfect.
Mark Lindhurst from Capture Videography continues, "Look for a wedding videographer who has a style that you prefer. There are several types out there, some who choose to show the day in a different light with slow motion and other multiple special effects, there are other styles that are more classic with their editing style. Look for the style that fits you.
One of the biggest regrets from past brides is not having a wedding videographer due to budget or need. The ability to relive one of the best experiences in your life is priceless. How amazing would it be to see your grandparents wedding? With today's technology you can show your future grandkids your special day.
Finally, look for the vendors who will film the entire reception, some of the most memorable part happen towards the end of the evening. Make sure your videographer is still there. Try and avoid those packages that have time restrictions.
"The successful capturing of quality video on your wedding day, without being distracting or obnoxious, is a learned skill," notes Paul Perhacs of Mystic Image Video. "A videographer's experience level matters greatly, so ask a potential videographer how many weddings he/she has shot at your ceremony & reception location. His ability to show you real-life examples of similar work, produced for others, will help you to gauge his experience and worth."
"Most videographers will cover pre-wedding, ceremony, and reception footage. A lot of companies limit themselves by time constraints or eliminate parts within the middle of your day. Obviously, a lot of what you get, at the end of the day, is determined by the budget that you have. Remember though, when selecting your videography package, you make sure that the most important aspects or your day are encompassed by it. If you really want to see the preparation that goes into everything,
find a package which weighs heavily in that area, but not so much at the end of the event. Also, to avoid the elimination of parts of your day, such as between the ceremony and reception, an opportune time for your videographer to get candid shots, make sure you review what may or may not be removed from your coverage." - Memory Productions
Tim Canter from Beach Boyz Entertainment Service tells us "If video and photography are important to you, give yourself more than enough time to not only film and shoot what is needed but also allow for time in between the ceremony and reception to take a breath. Pack some boxed lunches for your bridal party and find a good park or local winery to have lunch and kick your feet up. I know it is cliché but this is the biggest day of your life take time to enjoy it."

You should feel comfortable with him and be assured that he’ll meet with you in advance to go over all the details of your special day and will attend your rehearsal,” says Peter Strmen of Viewpoint Media Group.
